BRING

Yoga Mat

Cushion

Block if you have/want one (optional)

Blanket for warmth (optional)

Sweat towel (optional)

Water bottle (for after; arrive hydrated)

WEAR

Yoga requires flexibility, and so you’ll need clothes that can support your movements. Synthetic materials that wick sweat (avoid cotton). Some men like to wear loose fisherman-style trousers, but others find that all that fabric can be quite irritating. I recommend opting for a pair of comfortable shorts or track pants. Wear a hoodie for warmup & cool down.

TIMING

Early; doors close at strictly 17:28pm after which it is locked. arrive at least 5 minutes early, use the bathroom if you need, find your place and settle on your mat.

Class runs for 1 hour from 17:30pm.

CLASS DETAILS

This class is intended for men of all abilities.

Arrive hydrated; we don't drink throughout yoga, we build the fire.

The room will be just for us to allow you to focus your attention inwards. Heating will be on, but it may start on the chillier side, do wear layers you can remove.

Any aversion to incense, let me know.

Bathrooms are available.

Any questions are welcome and none are silly. Whatsapp me on +44(0) 7716 313 338 or ask in person at class!

Top athletes who swear by yoga

They all really loved the relaxing aspect of the yoga. Anything that grounded them and could get them laid down, relaxed and doing visualizations of the game ahead.” ~ Lyndsey Benn, New Zealand All Blacks Team Yoga Instructor

“I'm pretty flexible for a tennis player. (Yoga) has helped a lot with my fitness and mental strength.” ~ Andy Murray, Tennis

“It strengthens your muscles, improves flexibility, but also keeps you fit and gets you out on the training pitch so you can train every day. You want to be out there so you need to get your body robust and ready for anything. If I do a yoga session the next day (after a game), I’m nowhere near as stiff and I’ll be back training at the right level a lot quicker.”.” ~ Ryan Giggs, Footballer

I practice yoga at Baptiste Power Yoga, which has studios around town. It's great for flexibility, it's therapeutic, and great for your attitude. And it gets you some silence during your day.” ~ Tom Brady, US Quarterback
